Alba
Alba is the driving force behind our stories. It is where the restaurants La Piola and Piazza Duomo take place. Gastronomy and creativity come together: La Piola is home to Kiki Smith’s works “My happy dream” and “La Speranza”, whilst Piazza Duomo features a fresco by Francesco Clemente. This intertwining of art, cuisine and hospitality reflects our commitment to making space for contemporary creativity within the culture and experience of the Langhe.

The fresco
Piazza Duomo Restaurant, Alba
Two years after Piazza Duomo opened, Francesco Clemente painted a fresco in the restaurant’s main dining room. The work, instinctive and hybrid, combines elements typical of the artist’s style with details from the Langhe, such as vine leaves, creating a dialogue between art and the local landscape.

“My happy dream” and “La Speranza”
La Piola, Alba
At La Piola, the artworks of Kiki Smith welcome guests: a poetic drawing on the entrance wall and two chandeliers resembling aviaries inside. Each project begins as a small idea and grows into something vibrant, where art and context come together.
