I Vignaioli
di Santo Stefano

In 1976, in Santo Stefano Belbo, a small village in the Piedmont hills renowned for its Moscato and its literary connections with Cesare Pavese, a group of winegrowers, spurred on by Buno and Marcello, felt a pressing need to restore dignity to Moscato. Thus was born I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano: a partnership now led by the Ceretto and Scavino families, both driven by the belief that quality, care and respect for tradition are the foundation of an authentic wine. The objective has been clear from the outset: to promote Moscato d’Asti, whilst respecting the land and those who cultivate it. Since then, the winery has pursued this commitment with consistency, monitoring each harvest closely and treating the grapes with the care they deserve.

The wines produced here

Our wines are made from the Moscato grape, grown on sunny hillsides between Santo Stefano Belbo, Canelli and Calosso. Each bottle offers aromas of flowers, fruit and herbs, a balanced sweetness and a light, sparkling finish. Perfect with desserts, pastries or simply for a moment of indulgence.

The Moscato hills

The Moscato hills

The vineyards of I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano cover approximately 37 hectares spread across the hills of Santo Stefano Belbo, Canelli and Calosso, on soils characterised by crumbly marl, sand and clay, ideal for Moscato. The varying altitude, aspect and soil conditions promote balanced ripening and the development of the grape variety’s typical aromas. This unique terroir gives our wines elegance, freshness and a distinctive aromatic character.
