Monsordo Bernardina
In the late 1980s, our family chose an old estate on the outskirts of Alba, transforming it into the beating heart of the business. Monsordo Bernardina, a place that also preserves the love story between Vittorio Emanuele II and Bella Rosina, has become our new operational centre in just a few years. Here, some of our most iconic wines are produced and aged, alongside our offices, administrative functions and visitor facilities.
More than 30 hectares of vineyards stretch out around the estate, cultivated with respect for the environment and dedicated to traditional grape varieties, as well as some international ones.
In line with this philosophy, the Acino was established in 2009: a permanent facility overlooking the vineyards that welcomes guests into a contemporary space dedicated to the experience, the landscape and the exploration of the local area.
The wines produced here
Some of the wines that best represent us are produced at Monsordo Bernardina. From Arneis to Dolcetto, from Nebbiolo to Barbera, from Barolo to Barbaresco. Each label embodies the character of the hills and our way of interpreting them.
Vineyards that reflect their land
Monsordo Bernardina is surrounded by around 30 hectares of vineyards on sandy-clay soils, rich in silt and marl, characteristic of the Langhe landscape. At around 300 metres above sea level, the vines benefit from strong diurnal temperature shifts and a microclimate ideally suited to Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, and Arneis.
L’Acino
